moving back
i've got plans to move into an apartment with d again, starting in september. last night as i was walking back to my place in allston i was feeling melancholy about it, because i like the downmarketness of the place where i live now. but i have to move back in with d. it makes me more unhappy to not be with her than i am with her [...]
i recently directed a couple of commercial jobs for barry r's company. after doing a sony 3-minute film for $200k in miami which was great and i got jim g to gaff it and flew hg in to shoot behind the scenes.
still not much progress on music recording. got a samplecell from kf, still paying it off to the company. $750 i think.
last friday d and i went to a party at ward and cyan's place in somerville (they're soon moving to washington dc), and we met these two guys from the core group on newbury street. hung out with them until about 4:30 am. went to their office and smoked a joint. now those guys have invited me to come visit them at work, which i plan to do this afternoon.
yesterday i sent a questionaire around the company asking people why they do or don't feel it's important to write in the book when they come in and out. [...] the scary thing is that business is slow right now, i've been thinking too much about the nature of this organization and its survivability in the future. the last two times i was thinking like this, the company i was working for closed within six months.
by the way, i struck a deal to stay on at natbos given a 20% share of fees charged for me.
