i had to go to hg today to have video-dvds made for the latest ee project. dvr meanwhile was trying to get the larger format quicktimes to the IT fella who's also in charge of the display at the beurs this thursday.
hg has a houseguest, from poland! she looked like a nice lady. i guess this is her first trip to amsterdam and she's been trying to learn english for three weeks now. i was introduced to her, i shook her hand politely and said,
"yestem ogurkiem w'ugrotku."
she seemed to take the news with equanimity, but then i noticed she kept a safe distance from me for the rest of the afternoon. i am a cucumber in the garden.
my mobieltje battery has died. somebody was trying to communicate with me but it couldn't happen, and in a strange way i was glad. i was like -- it's an act of god. and djox, sitting across from me, just said
"take a week off, man."
hmm. what a theory!
