gunpowder
biting taste of gunpowder in the air. battle sounds from east and west of the house. boom. rat tat tat. krezip and anouk have both been performing on tv, different feestjes.
i spent the evening hiding in the kelder, glad of it!
i just realized this evening, that the dulcimer instrument whose sound i like from some east-european and gypsy music, is called a cimbalom, or sometimes cymbalom. orbital's "the box" used it too, i think. for me it's a kind of coldwar/ironcurtain sound, mysterious and romantic.
i am detecting this sound and trying to find it in my world. underneath the boom and the rat tat tat.
