trip to LA
just returned from my first trip to la. i enjoyed it. worked on the sony lot, formerly the mgm lot, then columbia. shot inside the william holden theater. deco 1930s architecture. feels like the movies.
amazing crew. francesca iorillo, first ad, who used to go to emerson. kim kono, ninja 3rd electric. andrea sachs, gaffer.
stayed at the marina beach marriott in marina del rey.
red rocks bar on sunset. west hollywood. moira the pm. red hair, lively party girl, and her sister mauvorneen (?) they're from chi.
gladstone's in malibu at the end of sunset. talking about malibu jesus. malibu is in a real hilly place.
sushi place with just a fish over the door. katsu? was that it? i think maybe west hollywood. or west la. anyway i liked it.
wu lei oak, korean restaurant on la cienega. across street from the nikko hotel. self-barbecue. dinner as sport.
santa monica freeway. omelette place on main street in santa monica. walking around watching the bladers on the path at santa monica beach. driving up the pacific coast highway.
24 hour drivethru macdonald's. they forget my coffee so we turn and drive into a different mcdonald's.
