hitched a ride to barry goldwater airport (goldwater was from phoenix) with client ... i'm in seat 16a. getting airborne i hope for the best and pray to god to keep us safe. i notice i mostly talk to god on airplanes, usually during takeoff. this one is pretty bumpy, i hope it will settle down soon. brown mountains behind me.
i love ajw i wish i would get to see her again before i go back to amsterdam.
a silly movie on the screen with scarlett johanson, i look at the pictures but can't listen. it begins to feel warm, so i twist open the air vent knob above my seat and struggle to point it at myself. drift in and out of dreams, surface-skimming sleep.
21.46 eastern time. over rochester NY. pilot thinks we'll arrive bos circa 22.30.
01.00 jazztown. this time i'm in room 3146, which is a mirror image of the one across the hall but faces out onto the parking lot instead of forest.
