a day late
18.05 u, gate e3b logan. ajw was shooting product shots for me yesterday in danbury. i decided to stay here one extra day because i didn't like how the weather was shaping up. so last night aj came to jazztown (i got my wish!) and we had dinner at the bar, and slept in room 3146 which is on the other side from where i usually stay. then today she drove me to beacon hill. while sitting around the apt we talked about houses. buing a disused building and making it into a house. like an old bank or a mill or municipal bldg. kinda the same thing pani has been talking about doing in ireland. then we napped then went for a "bleu" cheese burger at "the hill" pub, then said goodbye and i gave her a squeeze of the right buttock and took a taxi to logan.
the political campaign in america is in full swing. it could end up mccain versus hillary clinton, which would mean a military man gets to be president as soon as hillary self-destructs. that is unless barack obama beats hillary, much to be decided in a day of primary elections (voorverkiezingen) this coming tuesday.
the "superbowl" happens tomorrow in phoenix, but also seems to be happening all over america. mayor menino in boston applying special security precautions especially in areas of town with a lot of students.
for some reason i can't seem to dial out on my mobile tonight, can't sms either.
18.38 u. now on board NW38 expecting "pushback" at 19.05. i changed my seat to 28j because i prefer to be near a window. i left a few pants / shirts at aj's flat. might as well have some clothes on both sides of the atlantic, then my luggage can be lighter.

19.30/01.30 u. captain sez expect arrival 07.20 on sunday 03 feb. now i'm high enough to have forgotten to be afraid of going up. i am bored of course so i want food. even though i've already had too much to eat today. on video screen, movies about in-seat exercises. 3256km travelled out of 5543.
05.35 u. 4332 km. slowly approaching coast of ireland. taking a more southerly route than i remember from last time.
06.10 u. video map sez we are just passing south of cork. but still over the sea, no landfall over ireland.
06.45 u. just passed north of oxford, england. still pitch black outside of course, i can't see a bloody thing. 5350 km travelled of 5543.
06.51 u. i see a warm colored thin crescent moon just over horizon to the south.
07.08 u. now i can see the dutch coast approaching, swaths of electric light, then faintest dawn streaks of orangish pink. now the air gets louder and my ears press in.
