district old-south is seeking higher authority to compel house-owners in de pijp to remove the colored paint from their buildings. brightish colors are in "terrible conflict" with the norms of the area.

and there's still a big argument over whether mayor cohen had the right to say it didn't bother him that some "street-coaches" don't want to shake hands.
and the police unions are still not satisfied with the collective salary deal being offered by the minister, so maybe they will do more strike actions.
wednesday there were again very high winds in NL, especially around noon. one man was hurt when a "gevelplaat" fell on the back of his head. a truck blew over sideways on a bridge elsewhere in NL. many flights cancelled at schiphol.
today i'm feeling very lucky for
having a roof over my head,
having enough to eat, and
having nobody actively trying to put me in jail (like our friend gancho who was being sought by interpol for attempting to shoplift a jacket in bulgaria in 1996, and is supposed to be extradited this friday).
