tonight i briefly saw kees and jud at mulligan's before they went off to dinner, then i met up with my former huisbaas mdef, and we went to dinner and talked at length, the occasion being that the apt sale finally really went through and he could pay me back my security deposit. then i went off to the cave, irmo was playing tracks i liked. i met two nice parisians who told me four bars in paris where you can go listen to metal, including what parts of town the bars were in. djox came in with menna and chico and some other bulgs i dunno, having just come from a show at melkweg they really enjoyed. talked for a while, then came back here to jk's place. only jk is in england today.
in other news. construction to support the "anne frankboom" (the chestnut tree anne frank once saw out her hidingplace window in the back offices of opekta) is finished. the amsterdam metro rides again (rijdt weer), some say the switch near centraal is the weak spot that caused the derailment this year just as it did back in 83, and best of all, "monteurs te laat bij ontsporing", ie the guys who should have shut off the electricity so the passengers could climb out were "a little too late". i think most people trapped on that metro car will probably agree with that one.
