mutating dutch
this morning in a Parool article titled "Stad nog lang niet failliet" (City not nearly bankrupt yet), i found a very curious sentence:
"De PvdA hoopt dat het rijk bijbij de Noord/Zuidlijn."
which approx translates to
"The labor party hopes the realm at-at the North-South Line."
i guess the dutch language is mutating faster than i expected. but the idea that "byebye" can be a verb is kinda fun:
she finally byebyed her jackass boyfriend.
i hope i can byebye this nasty headcold before monday.
back in a minute, i have to byebye the trash.
