cold apartment
when i came home last night (30 november) the temperature in my apartment was 55˚ f. there was also no hot water. i called cyros and told him, and he said someone was already here fixing it.
i spent the night at aj's apartment.
when i came home today at about 1pm, the temperature in the apartment was about 52˚ f. a little before 2 pm i called my landlord, cyros, and told him the temperature was a problem. he said he would turn up the heat to my apartment. it’s now 4:30 pm, and the temperature in my apartment is 54˚ f.
i should probably note that since i moved here on 1 february 1999, i have never observed the radiator in my room to have been hot.
later that night. cyros came over and replaced a valve on my radiator. now for the first time it is hissing and steaming and getting hot, which makes me very happy. the temperature is still just 62˚ f but that is eminently more livable than before. good for cyros.
cyros also promised, about two weeks ago, to have someone look into why part of my ceiling is sagging and getting gradually worse. as of today he said maybe that can happen early next week.
