ended up at nietsche's
i got to buffalo uneventfully friday night, went with dmf to her place out there in the suburbs, hung out with jude the cat and carla the dog. also got to see ddk and karen and giz and cage and kgw. had a good time. last night we ended up at nietsche's bar on allen street.
my main purpose in coming here was to see my ex cat, because the cat can't get on a plane and come see me. one weekend, not enough time to try and connect with all my old acquaintances from here. but maybe i'll try coming here again sometime. it's cheaper nowadays to get here.
last night i had trouble remembering three words:
prehensile
ayaan hirsi ali
thora birch.
it drives me crazy when i misplace the name of something, while the node of meaning it occupies in my experience is still intact. finally i remembered "prehensile" just as i lay down to go to sleep. this morning i was able to remember the other two.
now i am at ddk's house on elmwood, just hanging out. had coffee with him, then he went to work on some of his painting projects.
tonight i am to fly back to boston.
