pfdm v04 is done
i finished the rest of my work on project pfdm version 04. it took a total of about 14 hours to export from fcp to full res quicktime (about 324 GB!) and then to small compressed qt for viewing. then after uploading it last night, this morning it took me about three hours to write a letter describing everything i had changed in the show, and why, and what else we need to do.
surprise, bazek is in town visiting pani. i saw them for dinner monday night. then we went to eylders. for a few minutes i tried actually sitting in eylder's smoking section out front, just on the other side of the glass from where my friends were sitting. we communicated by scribbling on beer mats. then arno came. some of my friends think he's gay, but i guess he's not. after a while we left there. pani and bazek went home and arno and i went to maoz and ate a broodje falafel, then we briefly went to the cave even though arno doesn't like the cave. it occurs to me that i've only ever encountered arno when i was out drinking beer. so he has no concept of a sober s g collins -- even though i actually spend quite a large portion of my life stone sober.
early monday morning while the machine was busy rendering, i was trying to think of something to do that would use minimal computer power. so i started trying to write an audio play, like i've been promising to do. this one still has no name, not even a working title. unfortunately i'm stealing too many ideas from "city of men", which is now one of my favorite TV series (except for the last two episodes which got silly). i'm also putting in some weird ideas that have been floating in my head, like the myth of the mysterious black bus, and the pointless ice cream truck. there's an ice cream man who drives a truck that plays a song, even though there are no children around to come buy ice cream from him. at one point he tells our main character "wo, your hands are as cold as a himalayan christmas with martha stewart!"
i wrote a script for victor's project, which he is not entirely satisfied with. later i'm going to ask kh to take a look at it and see if he has any suggestions. (i read that kh is dropping more kilos now.)
