satellites collide over siberia
space: it's reported today in parool that a russian military observation satellite and a private american communications satellite smacked into each other and broke into about 500 pieces. nasa says they're tracking all 500 of them, and all this poses no danger to us down here. les kodlick (yes that's his real name) of the strategic air command says that the collision makes clear that we'd better keep track of what's playing out over our heads. in 1957 there was one sputnik, now there's like 6000 things whipping around up there.
opium: parool reports also that last sunday evening, over three million people watched frans bauer on television. and apparently that they did so voluntarily.
miep: today a lady from at5 phoned me to see if i had any actual miepfeest plans for sunday. and asked me to let her know if we do anything "opvallend".
work: jab doesn't want me to do anything more with the script until he shows it to another guy there tomorrow.
