collapse of köln city archive
a lot of news attention in amsterdam is being given to the collapse a few days ago of the city archive building in köln.
that collapse is said to have been caused by construction of a new north-south metro line through the city. coincidentally, the new north-south metro line being built here also passes right by the city archives building. the construction here has already caused sinking of buildings, albeit less catastrophic.
