nothing against lithouanians
at eijlders, dvr said "i may be crazy but i'm not stupid." then i said: "i may be crazy and stupid, but i'm not ugly. no wait: i may be crazy and stupid and ugly, but i'm not fat. no wait: i may be fat, ugly, crazy and stupid, but i'm not uh, lithouanian."
later on i realized that could easily sound insulting to real lithouanians. lithouanian has always just been a synonym for "irrelevance", as in the remotest possible thing from your reality. as i was growing up lithouania was really far away and nobody knew anything about it. just as lithouanians during the cold war might have referred to massachusetts.
