doug and i are both feeling kinda sad about how "you can hear a pin drop" when we publish mental shoes. a few people say something on facebook. but nobody ever writes an email to the editor of mental shoes, nobody wants to argue with us, and very few people are enthusiastic contributors.
possible reasons, i'm speculating
[1] we're just not entertaining people.
[2] people want to instantly comment, they don't wanna write a real email.
[3] readers think "that was nice" and don't feel compelled to do anything.
[4] they think this is a private club and they're not invited to speak up.
[5] they think their writing isn't good enough (i had one person tell me this)
