monday afternoon i went with nicole to the stadsdeelkantoor de baarsjes. we waited around for an hour for our number to be called. i was able to register as living here on the third floor. but nicole has to go to the bevolkingsregister office instead, which is gonna be a pain in the ass. this is because she has meanwhile been living outside of amsterdam -- the district office only handles registries of people moving within the city. too bad they didn't tell her that at the check-in desk an hour before!
i just made some changes to "ime1" requested by jim. nothing too devastating yet. i'm supposed to deliver in "dnxhd" format, which shrinks the file to about 28% of its original size but still looks good.
sunday night while i was out to dinner with jud crane, julia told me that nico langejan has sold restaurant de nachtwacht to a new guy, not from the family. i think the staff are feeling a little weirded out about it. once it's not in the family any more, good intentions are only intentions. but nico's getting old and wants out of the biz.
i think julia is very attractive. sometimes i wanna just grab her and give her a big hug. (i feel the same way about a couple of other women too.)
anyway when i got home i saw a mop and pail just inside the door, and discovered that nicole had cleaned the whole flat while i was out. sheesh! no more paying rent for her, if she's gonna be that heroic. at least not until she gets a full time job.
meanwhile garcia has taken the bus to sweden again to work on her album.
