saw 'black snake moan'
yesterday morning i watched the movie 'black snake moan', mainly cuz i like to look at christina ricci. there are several good things i can say about it. it was filmed excellently, all the acting was great, even justin timberlake's, and the music and sound design and set design were top notch, and it was well written. and i liked how strangely sexy it was.
but i have this uneasy feeling about the moral premise of the story: these kind, lovable people help a lost girl back to wholeness, by first imprisoning her. somehow i don't like the message that sends.
