pani ani is here
pani ani came back to amsterdam last tuesday from her stay in ireland -- which followed hard on the heels of her months-long absence in tokyo. we went a couple times to visit n fly who is in the hospital with stomach cancer. friday we had dinner at tong ah with victor and also crazy wendy who kinda invited herself. sunday i saw her at mulligan's, she was talking her phd stuff with kh, and fraanse freddy was also there, and then jk came. kh is in pain from repetitive stress. apparently it started when he changed offices and they gave him a nice comfy ergo-chair.
later i went to eat something at nw and pani came to meet me. then we walked down the singel together as far as the westermarkt tramhalte on the rozengracht. she loves amsterdam now, but is seriously considering leaving it. makes me sad. maybe cuz it seems like she just got back here.
i'm in the middle of a huge low budget job. the shoot only took three hours, but the rotoscoping could take three weeks. it's wrist-straining and mind-numbing work. i even told the client i was crazy, to propose this idea of let's have a man walking through the streets as a cut-out white shape. i was right.
