been trying to get flash vids to play
i've made good progress with victor's web site. i figured out (with some difficulty) how to export flv files from the quicktimes, and then pervert the script i was given so as to make them play. finally. the complication is that on one page, the films must be shown in a smaller size than the rest. so it's hard to figure out how to apply my standard nifty 'scale' trick which i'm applying to all the other elements. (the reason being, i wanted the site to automatically display at different sizes depending on how big your screen is.)
we are minding our downstairs neighbors' cats while the humans are on holiday.
a bit worried about money: still waiting to be paid from ee, cuz their boekhouders have gone on holiday too.
the other day i went with jennie and her boyfriend and dvr and jk to the café noorderlicht in that old shipyard in amsterdam noord. i was there once with anna back in 2007. it's a very cool space and surrounding, food's decent, but the people who work there don't quite seem to know how to be a restaurant. i kept thinking i was dining at some sort of school for waiters. not that they weren't trying. it's just that somewhere along the way there was a missing semicolon in the script.
