dreamed of police violence
i forgot to mention,
overnight i had a couple overlapping dreams of police state oppression, one was in like a DDR/stasi setting, the second happened in america. in the second dream i saw some woman in the street getting beat up by police. it was night time. at first it seemed like she was feebly resisting arrest and a trio of cops were trying to over-subdue her. the next moment she was already unconscious, but still being systematically beaten by a policeman who seemed to be an expert in beating people. the other two police leaned her over and he was repeatedly knocking her on the forehead with his knee, as if to insure that she got a brain concussion -- just then i reached for his collar and said 'hey asshole, stop doing that!' somehow he reached around and grabbed me, and i said 'oh, right, ok and now you're gonna punish me too.' while i was waiting to be hurt, i was sitting down next to him, telling him this was wrong, he shouldn't be hitting that woman. being upset about it was what woke me up.
