self-immolator on the dam
today at around 12.30 a guy set himself on fire in front of the national monument on the dam. nobody knows why. it wasn't some lameass fire either, he really was blazing majorly. in the news there are vids of people trying to put his fire out by beating him with their coats, but trying not to get burnt in the big blaze. the immolator now in life-danger in a burn wound center.
to my knowledge this is a first. people have been setting themselves on fire around the world lately, sometimes triggering revolutions, but normally one knows what they're protesting -- and normally it doesn't happen in amsterdam.
i'm afraid i still don't have a wicked clear idea for the movie we're proposing on friday. been distracted and upheaved by recent events.
