kambiz roustayi was his name
the guy who lit himself on fire on the dam wednesday, and subsequently died, was kambiz roustayi, a 36 year old journalist from iran, who was turned down for asylum in NL and apparently at wits' end because he feared being shipped back to his homeland. his former lawyer, frank van haren, spoke on at5 news about him and said that kambiz had forecast that he would end up in the headlines. now there have been flowers left on the spot, and candles, and little signs saying 'geen mens is illegaal'.
