revolts panarabic
as of today there is brutal repression of protests in both syria and bahrain. now protests have started in oman. i think things aren't going that well for yemen protesters either. the armed rebel conflict in libya is complicated by foreign (nato) military involvement.
in bahrain the sad story was that security forces were supposedly disappearing medical personnel trying to help wounded protesters.
there is also some confusion about who's really who. governments saying 'that wasn't us who did that -- musta been somebody else.' external meddlers? mercenaries? militias with an axe to grind?
in any case, it still appears that the whole arab world is trying to rise up and get rid of their totalitarians. 'the people want the fall of the regime' is the call we keep hearing.
