a whitish lion wanted to get in
i just dreamed that i was visiting some friends' apartment in buffalo, and i had jude the cat with me. i had let jude out on their balcony. then my friends stepped out for a while, and i thought, hmm i'd better go check on jude. when i opened the door to the balcony, i realized it had a long straight staircase going down to the snowy parking lot three or four stories below.
i figured jude had gone exploring somewhere out there in the woods. dian would be worried, i thought. and i noticed there were other cats walking around down there. one of them looked like a mountain lion. the bigger cat seemed to take an interest in me, and approached the staircase. so as a precaution i figured i'd better go back inside. there was something askew about the door, and i was having trouble getting it closed properly. it was crooked. the big cat didn't bother with the stairs, it just leapt onto the balcony, and was now trying to get in the door. it was bigger than i'd thought: not just a mountain lion, it was a lion. kinda grayish white.
i said to the lion: 'what the hell is your problem man, why do you wanna come in here?'
and i was worried that jude might be in trouble out there, that someone in the wilderness might have already eaten him.
