went to haarlem
tonight i went to haarlem and had dinner with djox and joana at a place called café bruxelles, in a tiny silent street in a town that felt like six in the morning on a sunday. good food and i was gonna say cheap, but i didn't get to pay for it cuz it turns out i was the guest. we talked a lot about important things, and watched the blackbirds swarming to and fro in the long twilight. as my train arrived back in amsterdam just before eleven at night, the sky was still dusky blue. now i think it's actually night.
pretty soon it will be christmastime again, that's what i always think as soon as the longest day of the year has passed. sinterklaasliedjes and nieuwjaarsbommen. but i won't worry about that quite yet.
