venn diagrams
i slept and did some dreaming.
venn diagrams to show how 'us versus them' can work different ways. which us versus which them. instead of us and our rulers against the enemy and their rulers, turn it 90 degrees, it's all of us against all of our rulers. and not muslims versus christians, but peaceful reasonable muslims and christians versus the crazy hater muslims and christians.
an indignant man on tv today, somewhere in indonesia, argues that christians shouldn't be allowed to build a church on a street with a muslim name in a muslim neighborhood. another muslim (actually the son of the guy who the street was named after) says in indonesia christians, muslims and hindus have been interacting for centuries, and that promoting strife endangers the unity of the people.

i need to make my journal work again.
some people, like vince, told me the way i parse the whole journal file into variables is 'VERY' bad.
but see my problem is, i don't just need to append new stuff to the end of a file. i need to be able to go back and edit / replace items in the middle of the file (earlier entries). i don't know how to do this unless i keep all the entries as variables, and replace entry x while reconcatenating it.
there is i'm sure a smarter way to structure it, but who's gonna have time to help me figure out how to re-code the whole thing? i think for now my best solution would be to break the journal into separate periods of time.
