self-organizing properties of universe
last night i was watching jim al khalili's bbc documentary about the tendency of spontaneous pattern-forming and organization. it made me think about the way the protests are happening. al khalili's conclusion was that an external designer is not necessary for organization (and later, evolution) to begin.
this seems related to my belief that most social norms are self-organizing thru iteration -- and that the influence of external government is mostly unnecessary and often harmful.
