should just write it for fun
i figured out last night, talking to djox at chico's bar, that instead of approaching the gabo s project as some herculean assignment i should just write it for pure enjoyment. that feels like the right thing to do, because if i write it and don't enjoy, it will not become what it needs to be.
then djox and i went outside and he read me his new poem on the sidewalk in the middle of the night. i closed my eyes to hear him better, and almost immediately i could see many faces gathering, crowding in around him to listen. like souls in the street. i liked the poem sounds and words. i asked him to send me a scan of it, it looks nice too. groovy scrawl.
i wonder if i can learn portugués, and then maybe polish. there are so many things i have to learn, i need two or three more lifetimes.
