spurous uploads
i occasionally use my ftp folder to put files there for someone to take, or for them to give me files i need. but on 27 january someone uploaded over 7 GB of video of some really bad dutch band onto my ftp folder. and i can't figure out who it was or why they have my login info. the most obvious explanation is that it's either someone to whom i gave it, or someone who knows them. i posted a still from the vid on facebook to see if anybody i know recognizes the band.
this evening i met with victor at nw for dinner, then spent a bit of time at mulligan's. it is extremely cold out, and the breeze makes it feel colder still. other parts of europe are snowbound, even italy.

later -- the spurious upload perp confessed and apologized. seemed to have trouble grasping why that was uncool, so i explained it using the analogy of 7,5 buckets of shit that i left in his apartment cuz i happened to have the key, then forgot to remove them a week later, so he would walk in and say what is all this shit.
