train collision
early yesterday (saturday) evening, between centraal station and sloterdijk, two passenger trains somehow ended up going opposite directions on the same track, and whacked into each other. over 100 people were injured, 13 very seriously. this bothered me for the whole evening, just thinking of all those people in pain. it was hard to even get them out of the train because access was complicated by the elevated railway.
the same day, wilders walked out of the budget discussions with the cabinet of VVD, CDA and PVV. so now there is no PVV in the government, and apparently they'll have to throw new elections *again*. i wanted wilders to just keep on walking, of course. but i'm afraid he'll be back, pretending he did the right thing for the people, and try to get elected dictator.
thursday night i had dinner at nachtwacht with kaloyan, diana, martin, and ilse the waterwhispers. we wanted to go to chico's after dinner, but chico was closed, so we ended up scampering through the rain to the dam and taking shelter at some creepy upscale bar downstairs from de bijenkorf. ilse broadcasts on the asmrradio.com internet radio station, she's one of the founders and hosts.
friday night i went to chico's because it was nadia chalenska's birthday party. a pile of friends came too. i met one really pretty woman named ivy, and then saw her again last night at the wilhelmina.
because (looping back around) last night moonaddict played at the wilhelmina. they were doing quite well, but then had to cut their performance short because the guitar amp caught on fire. i was wondering why i smelled an electrical fire. anyway i got to hear some of my favorite songs. maybe alain just plays too hard for current guitar amp technology.
this morning i didn't sleep much, maybe almost three hours. woke up at six and listened to iliana on the asmrradio. then i got up and started working on this painting i started a few weeks ago. just finished it around noon, it's called 'hyperconnected'.
a few minutes later, nicole got home, having been two weeks on holiday in amman. she says she had just as good a time this time as last time.
tomorrow i have to go to hilversum for a voiceover record.
next saturday i'm going to paris, just for one day, to shoot scenes for the 'hier soir' opera music video with aleksandra and anna. returning sunday night, unfortunately cuz that is koninginnennacht. got the rail tickets. didn't arrange a hotel yet.

george's sister died. he phoned to tell us. she'd been suffering a long time. george said the whole family was there with her when she went.
