apollo hate
this evening i was sitting at the cave wondering about what's really going on psychologically with apollo hate, that is, the belief that the apollo moon landing project was a hoax.
i wish i could interview 50 hoax believers and try to get to the bottom of what motivates their belief. it's hard to believe (today) that people went to the moon, but it's hard to believe (in 1969) that they didn't. it's quite a stretch really. it would mean approximately 600 million or a billion people are lying to you about what they saw. i wonder how far you can push faith in conspiracy before you become one of those people who feels that the entire world is conspiring against them.
i was wondering if there was a parallel between apollo hate and america hate. is there a corrolary between people who hate (or mistrust) america and those who believe in the apollo hoax.
that is the bit that would bother me, actually. i am an anti-american who is quite sure that apollo happened. i would not like to be mistaken for someone who believes in apollo because he believes in his country. i don't like nations.
