tom & courtney came
tom and courtney showed up in amsterdam from paris. i met them at their hired apt on nieuwe herengracht and we went for dinner at de nachtwacht and they were quite happy with that, and with georges the kelner. then we went to mulligan's for a quick drink. but i remembered it was wednesday and thought we should go see if victor's session thing was still happening up in back. it was a very dense session. a guy named luka bloom was joining them. tom and courtney thought it was really good.
tonight on the way home (cuz it had gotten late) i met a cabdriver named sonny, who said he wanted to phone me if he had any questions about writing. he said he likes writing more than anything else. he said he can also do translations between NL and arabic. that's good to know.
i think everything is all set for dinner at tong thursday evening. still expecting some delays and frustration, whatever.
