stuff i thought everybody's mom taught them
a couple more things occurred to me lately ...
that my mom described to me how an object moving in a certain direction without being acted upon by another force will continue indefinitely (galilieo?). and that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
something else she explained to me was why sync sound in films was more complicated than just turning on a tape recorder and camera at the same time — that the motors would drift in speed unless you had some feedback mechanism or whatever.
am i dreaming? i'm pretty sure mom told me that stuff. so naturally i would assume everybody's mom told them stuff like that.
