too many subscribers
some attention for my 'moon hoax not' film led to a situation where this morning i was getting a new youtube subscriber every 90 seconds or so. it was more than i could keep up with, so i finally had to stop receiving email notices about subscriptions.
i'm getting more mails from various people who want to discuss things i said in different clips. they're quite civil and well thought-out correspondences. it might turn into a lot of work, but i appreciate their attention.
one person wrote to me that my use of the word 'homo' in 'moon hoax now' was a stupid slur made in bad taste by an otherwise bright guy. it occurred to me that [a] 'homo' is still an insult in some places, and [b] i can't assume that everybody knows how pro-gay i am. so i put up a short graphical vid saying 'sorry about that'.
a few people are saying that it's wrong that i 'only' have about 2000 subscribers, but that seems like an awful lot to me. i think a week ago i had just over 1000.
yesterday i very quickly wrote a script version of 'my trouble with nations' and kinda read it to the camera, cut it and put it on youtube. i was surprised that, having assumed that it would take years to write that, i was able to pretty much punch it out in one afternoon.
then i went out to club zest, met some friends there, then ended up at the cave until closing time.
